Finally I did it! I walked through the snow in the SIC IT5210047 (Serano-Brunette mountains) for about 7 km. It was a very cold morning, some degrees under 0 °C, but I couldn't miss this opportunity: more than 20 mm of snow fell in Pettino valley. When I woke up, weather was nice and in site lights were great. This is the result and I hope that a fresh breeze travels across the net and carries to all of you a lucky and wonderful 2009.

This post is dedicated to my (not to) far friends of Africa. I tried to looking for the snow, but, sorry, I missed. I began my trekking in the early morning with great hope and I found a lot of interesting iced puddles and some curious logs. I walked up to the peak of the Fionchi mountain (1337 m asl), in the site Natura 2000 IT5220025: wonderful panorama, but although the strong cold the snow is melting away...

Nessuna mission per questa settimana. Ma grande fermento per rinnovare gli addobbi di Natale. Tutto rigorosamente prodotto, con grande pazienza, dal materie prime...

Ancora acqua... e la neve? Alle basse quote non è ancora arrivata, ma basta avvicinarsi alle vette appenniniche, nel regno del camoscio, per vederla comparire. E immancabilmente tra le strette vallate, magnifici ruscelli solcano le giovani rocce calcaree, come per esempio il torrente Ussita alle pendici del monte Bove.
